dné [CZ]
dné is Ondrej Holy (*86) from Prague, the Czech Republic. From the beginning his main focus was electro-acoustic ambient, recently it has become more beat oriented.
First EP Talking With Crayons was released in January of 2009 as a free download on Starcastic, CZ and Mine all Mine! records, US. (CD reissue came out in 2010 via UK label Heat Death.) He entered the stage for the first time couple days after that, along with his playmate Kryštof Hanzlík. Since then, dné has played as a support with artists such as Bibio, Sun Glitters, Dntel, Handsome Furs, The Album Leaf, Tune-Yards or at Creepy Teepee festival.
In 2010 he went on a short tour around Slovakia with the band DVA. Also composed music for silent movies by J. C. Mol and performed it at the festival of documentary films AFO in Olomouc, CZ. His second EP "Eating a Wrapper Instead of Candy" was released June 13th via AMDISCS as a cassette limited to 100 pieces.
In May 2011 Mine All Mine! records released his "Reading Lyrics Aloud Means Singing", special vocal remix EP with contribution from Former Ghosts, I Do Not Love and Slowmotiondancer (Table). Few months later, "Cardboard and Bubble Sheet" - first single from the debut album was out as a free download.
On May 2nd 2013 Bad Panda Records released his single Like Physical. It contains remixes by I Do Not Love, Lee and Dntel.
He is currently working on a piano album. Debut album will not happen.
